- The Lennox Smart Room Sensor is discrete, completely wireless, and thanks to its versatility and portability, installs in minutes. Can be wall mounted (recommended application) or placed on a shelf using the included stand.
- Occupancy mode allows you to decide if you prefer the occupancy sensor on or off. Saves energy when rooms are not in use via occupancy sensor. Some utility companies may offer rebates for occupancy sensors. Maximum unobstructed distance for the occupancy sensing capability is 20 feet and maximum width pattern of 110º at a mounting height of five feet from the floor.
- This device collects room temperature, humidity and occupancy status and passes that information to the S40 & E40 Smart Thermostats every two minutes to conserve battery life.
- Communicates wirelessly with the S40 & E40 Smart Thermostats via a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Mesh network (proprietary protocol). New Lennox Smart Technician app allows for quick and easy install of S40 & E40 Smart Thermostats and the new smart accessories. Use of Smart Tech app is required for installation.
- When connected to the Lennox S40 & E40 Smart Thermostats, homeowners can monitor, control, and balance room temperatures from anywhere using the new Lennox Smart Thermostat app for homeowners.
- Smart Room Sensor visibility on the Service Dashboard. Can connect up to 6 Smart Room Sensors per S40 & E40 Smart Thermostats BLE mesh network. A total of 6 smart devices can connect per S40 & E40 Smart Thermostats BLE Mesh Network.
- The Lennox Wireless Extender (sold separately) improves the connection between the S40 & E40 Smart Thermostats and the Smart Room Sensor, in larger homes or areas with reduced coverage or “dead spots”. This strengthened connection nearly doubles the coverage area and thus enhances reliability, performance, and usability.
